Quoth The Review Magazine:

"A common sight around the VST as a sophomore, John Preston ('07) opened his musical career on a small note. For three years, CATS, the theater department loosely associated with Stratford High School, gave Preston the once-a-trimester opportunity to develop on stage. Earlier productions ranging from Charlie Brown, Polar Men, Starlight, Annie and more were self-described as "modest." Preston recounts how the director-organized improv comedy sessions gave invaluable skills: "I even picked up the 'peel the banana' dance.
"Compated to the three times a week, six hours of sacrificed Sundays involved with most SJS productions, other companies often only require a weekly commitment. For Preston at CATS, he devotes two hours on Tuesday evening [....]
"The VST can barely contain the more ambitious of our lot. Preston prefers the Worthan Center and the Houston Grand Opera.
"Based on the children's novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, in their seven showings of The Little Prince, Preston played the epithetical Prince. Preston recalled: 'I heard on the radio one day a call for auditions, for 5'4" high voiced 14-year-olds; a perfect match.'"

JP IS MY SOLE MATE [Thursday, February 24th, 2005
@ 9:05PM]

[ mood | ecstatic ]

the most amazing thing just happened to me in rehearsal and i had to tell everyone. i got to rehearsal tonight and didn't know it was a dance rehearsal, so i had on birkenstock bostons (clogs, basically), which weren't gonna pan out. then...

jp offered to let me wear his shoes!

and they fit!

so JP and i not only have the same vocal range (c4-c6), but also the same shoe size! OMG!

check out the bad pun in my icon. get it? "souls"? "soles"? BWAHAHAHA.

[ mood | bored ]

it just felt like time for an update...

id just like to point out that jp has amazing tap skillz.
id just like to point out that jp has amazing singing skillz.
id just like to point out that jp has amazing skillz period.

some questions to ask yourself about jp:

A: do you really love [him]?
B: well...
A: 'cuz if i thought you didnt id tie you up in this bag and drop you in the river. are you serious about [him]?
B: yes, im serious
A: do you worship the ground [he] walks on like i do? you better say yes!
B: yes--yes--yes!
A: the hell you do!
B: yes
A: would you spend every cent you had for [him]? thats whut i did. see that bag? full of presents. cost fifty bucks. all i had in the world.
B: if you had that fifty dollars cash...
A: id have [jp] and youd lose [him]

so to sum up:
8-9 hours of rehearsal = intense jp obsessing...and rotting of the brain...
jp = god
answer to all questions = yes
